Meet Your Therapist
Kiandra Daniels, LMFT-S, ADHD-CCSP
Hello and welcome! I am Kiandra Daniels, a Texas licensed therapist dedicated to providing culturally competent therapy for Black individuals, couples, and families. I founded Color Wheel Therapy in 2020 with a clear mission: to improve access to Black mental health care and education, and create a space that promotes our growth and healing. I believe that we deserve to keep going with less weight from the world.
I earned my BS in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and my MS in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. My background includes individual and family therapy, couples therapy, inpatient care, and intensive outpatient settings. Today, I specialize in helping Black teens and adults, ages 16 to 65, navigate the struggles of high-functioning anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I also work closely with clients on identity struggles, shame, attachment issues, grief, trauma, and life transitions.
I am also passionate about supporting HBCU students and Texas athletes as they navigate the unique pressures of adulthood and mental health. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based techniques like DBT and experiential therapy to make sure our work fits your specific needs.
More than anything, I want to reduce the stigma around Black mental health. My goal is to help you decolonize your healing and feel empowered to embrace growth and self-awareness in environments that were not originally designed with us in mind.
When I am not in a session, I am usually leaning into my creative side through art or music, learning a new skill, or traveling. I love going to concerts, building Legos, and boxing. I also enjoy real estate, working out, and trying new foods. Most of all, I value time with my loved ones, especially my dog Lavish.
My motto: Be scared, and do it anyway.
My daily affirmation: My best looks different every day.
